TORONTO, CANADA- Photographic artist Andreas Rutkauskas is the winner of the second yearly Prefix Prize. He is a inventive documentarian who captures landscapes marred by industrial and technological intervention. About Andreas Rutkauskas

An award-winning photographic artist, Andreas Rutkauskas holds a BFA from the University of Manitoba (Winnipeg) and an MFA in Images from Concordia University (Montréal). He is the recipient of quite a few residencies, which includes the Canadian Forces Artists Program, the Chilkoot Path Artist Residency, and the Banff Centre. His most current residency was at the Fondation Grantham pour l’art et l’environment (Saint-Edmond-de-Grantham, QC). He was the 1st artist to go to the inaugural residency.  Rutkauskas was a investigation fellow with the Canadian Pictures Institute, National Gallery of Canada (Ottawa) in 2018.
