LOS ANGELES, March 27 (Reuters) – Japanese drama “Drive My Car,” the tale of a widowed theater actor grappling with his previous, won the Academy Award on Sunday for ideal international element film.
The 3-hour film facilities on an actor and director performed by Hidetoshi Nishijima, who is compelled to confront the demons beneath the seemingly fantastic surface of his relationship just after his spouse dies.
He develops a tentative friendship with his youthful chauffeur even though directing a multi-lingual manufacturing of Russian playwright Anton Chekhov’s “Uncle Vanya” in Hiroshima.
Directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi, “Push My Automobile” was tailored from a limited tale by Haruki Murakami.
Accepting the award, Hamaguchi thanked some of the film’s manufacturing organizations for “bringing my vehicle to the United States.”
Hamaguchi informed Reuters in Cannes, where the film gained a screenplay award: “What I discovered interesting was how the intimacy is introduced into the automobile via the lengthy conversations in between the characters.” go through extra
The other global nominees this year had been Denmark’s “Flee,” Italy’s “The Hand of God,” “The Worst Human being in the Globe” from Norway, and “Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom,” from Bhutan.
